"Ikinari Steak", the Japanese popular chain standing steak restaurant opened its first overseas store in New York on Feburuary 23, 2017.  According to media reports, this NY store has been thriving and as many as 400 poeple visit each day.

"Ikinari Steak" opened in Ginza, Tokyo in December 2013, and now has over 100 locations throughout Japan.  (Please click here. )

By the way, the owner of "Ikinari Steak" obtained a patent (Japanse patent registration no.5946491) for its "System for Providing Steaks" on June 11, 2016.
It's an effective way to avoid imitation by competitors in the same field.
