According to Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Renesas Electronics Corporation has decided to raise the reward for filing patents up to eight times and more compared to before.

Until now, the reward for filing patents was as small as several ten thousand yen.

The aim of this decision is to improve the motivation of engineers, encourage engineers to invent, and strengthen their competitiveness.
