Japanese Movies to expand overseas markets

The government summarized the efforts to enter Japanese movies into overseas markets in a report.

In particular, the Japanese government will support Film Production Companies in corporate finance, overseas expansion and location shooting.

The box office income of Japanese movies abroad in 2016 was 19.5 billion yen, nearly triple as compared with four years ago.

Japanese movies, especially Japanese animation are highly evaluated.
