JPO and SMEAJ will agreed to strengthen cooperation

The Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency of Japan (SMEAJ) will strengthen collaboration in support of the acquisition and utilization of intellectual property rights of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Administrative agencies in Japan tend to be vertically segmented administrative system, but both organizations will organize cross-organizational support system around intellectual property rights.

Through this collaboration, both organizations hope to support SMEs' overseas development, technological innovation, creation and protection of regional brands, and lead to regional revitalization.
